Suggestion to follow during Reiki Practice

Don’t wear strong perfume

The Reiki master has to keep in mind that he should not smell foul or use strong perfumes as that would distract sensitive patients. He should wash his hands properly before giving Reiki.

Play smooth light music

A music in the background-in low tone-will create a very favorable atmosphere for treatment. A good music from a well known singer or thrilling sound of streams or sea is enjoyable. Such sounds are very soothing. It is very important to begin a session of healing by centering oneself.

Conduct with in Patient Spiritual Roots

By centering oneself in his own spiritual roots, one is not easily distracted by anyone's emotions or desires or even by the explicit needs of the client. Once one is centered, he/she is in communion with the source of energy and healing is done effortlessly.

Concentration on Patient

The Reiki master has to sustain concentration and be fully with the client. If his own thoughts wander, that will affect the flow of energy.

Practice before healing session

Before the session, the healer should place his feet firmly on the floor, feel energy in his legs and feet as if the earth has held him in its embrace. Simultaneously he should feel the upper levels of his own energy reaching up into the heavens. He should visualize that energy channeling itself into his entire body and down into arms and hand3.

Control the Patient emotion
