The patient does not heal. He/she facilitates a process that is active and implicit within all of us. The healing capacity lies with the person in search of help. It is thus important that the recipient of healing touch be open and respectful of the process. He/she should behave like a child, be open, receptive and ready to learn. Thus a reverential attitude towards the healing process must be the basis of all traditional approaches.
Receptive and faithful mind heal fast
It has been observed that those who are more receptive recover fast. Healing is a gift of nature which a healer gives. It is rightly said drugs are not always needed but fath in recovery is.
Patients willingness to be cured
It is also observed that although patients come for treatment, but willingness to be healed is only an alibi. Consciously or otherwise they don’t want to get well. As is well known a patients get all the love and affection of the family and others when ill. This makes him develop an inner resistance to the treatment that would cure him.
