Treatment prerequisites

It has been observed that different Reiki masters adopt different order of positions for whole body treatment and all of them have proved effective. But there has been no explanation as why different positions work as they do and not in any other manner.

First of all it is better to understand why a specific sequence of positions is correct. Thereafter as one proceeds with it he gains experience and develops his own procedure. Intuition follows thereafter. That stage comes automatically when one works a lot with Reiki.

Who can Treat

Whether he is fit enough to deliver the result. He should be fully aware of the responsibility he is owning. He has also to consider whether or not the client is suffering from serious mental or physical illness. One should also ascertain whether the client is being treated by a physician or being given any drugs.

And in case one himself is not a physician, it is advisable that he hands over the case to some other master.

It was only after keeping in mind fully all the above mentioned cautions that one should proceed. As a precautionary measure initially he should restrict himself to fewer treatments and side by. side be prepared to face one's own issues which may crop up from time to time while giving treatment to patient.

Whom can be treated

Once one has decided to give treatment, he has to see next whether or not he has to limit the treatment. In case of weak persons or children the treatment period should be restricted to only 20 minutes or so. In case of persons who are taking allopathic medicines, fewer and shorter treatments are advocated. At the same time one has to avoid certain positions if the client has problems like severe headache -or complaints before and after menses in women. In that case those parts have to be given indirect treatment. In some cases one has to focus on specific areas in giving whole body treatment and specifically channel energy to needy areas. In certain cases the treatment has got to be supplemented by the use of stones, fragrances, sounds, diet or other therapeutic measures.
