Measures taken before and after the Reiki session

The possibility of locating energy blockages is like oscillating pendulum. One should spend some time learning and gathering experience before working with the pendulum tables. The pendulum is a very useful instrument, but also one that is easily misunderstood. There are various ways to consult the tables as shown below:

What can be the cause of the health disorder?

On which organs, 'chakras', or parts of the body should Reiki energy be focused?

What organs, 'chakras' meridians or parts ofthe body do not need to be supplied with Reiki energy ?

What should be the measures taken before and after the Reiki session?

While finding answer to these questions one need not have the client before him, but one must have a photo or a specimen of his handwriting or a good personal impression. After every Reiki session also one can assess whether some basic changes have occurred. One use the pendulum directly over the body, but he should be well familiar with the manner in which the pendulum indicates "yes", "no" and "don't know" before assessing the individual areas.

Again, in specific Reiki work one may use pendulum to guide him to that area which has the greatest need for Reiki. The pendulum will guide. It will indicate the direction and stop above the respective area or make an " affirmative pattern".

One may also work mentally (without contact .and without pendulum dowsing tables). In doing so, one should check each 'chakra' organ or meridian and direct Reiki to those areas only after locating them.

Pendulum dowsing is only important if one assumes Reiki work with a certain client is likely to meet with difficulties or if he wants to find the areas which most need to receive Reiki energy. The methods are well-tested and effective.

For further insight into the course of prolonged Reiki treatment, one could use one of the many traditional oracle systems. The Tarot (fortune­telling cards based on the cabalistic teachings), runes (an ancient Germanic symbolic system for representing basic universal energy patterns) or the I Ching (an ancient over 4000-year-old Chinese oracle system exhibiting almost mathematical precision) may provide ample assistance. But one should be well acquainted with these systems before addressing any serious question, as errors of judgement could have far-reaching consequences.
