Reiki Universal Healing Energy

Reiki - a Japanese word meaning unversal life force or energy for healing - was very much known to our ancestors and comes down to us over centuries. Indian Rishis who wrote Aharvaveda used the method extensively for healing of mind and body. Thousands of years ago the people from Tibet also had a deep understanding of spirit, energy and matter and they used it to heal bodies, get peace and achieve Self realization.

Most of the people believe that we have only one body i.e. this physical body which is visible to the eye. But the fact is that we have many invisible bodies, which interpenetrate the physical body. They are constituted of much finer matter as compared to physical matter. One such body in the immediate neighborhood of physical body is our vital body ( also energy body or pranic body ). It provides life energy for the basis of all movements and activities taking place within our physical body. Any disturbance in that energy body affects our physical body. The energy body, in fact, gives energy to the physical body and is instrumental for all the movements and activitiess with in the physical frame can also be called bioplasmid body or Pranic body or etheric body. That energy projection in a part of physical body is called Aura .

The same energy or prana which moves through our body also moves in the outer cosmos as cosmic prana in a purer form. Reiki is the science of healing of energy body using this cosmic life energy . Reiki master works as a channel for this reiki energy healing . The removal of energy imbalance or clearing negative energy by such healing in any portion of the energy body automatically leads to healing in the corresponding part of the physical body.

As mentioned, this method of healing was quite prevalent in ancient times but got lost as there were no written records. It was Dr. Mikao Usui of japan to reveal and rediscover the hidden path of this lifeforce. Later Dr. Chujiro Hayashi picked up the thread from where Dr Usui had left and carried the method ahead.
